Executive coaching is now also recognised as one of the most effective ways to create successful, dynamic and focused organisations. Companies are increasingly turning to coaching to solve many of their leadership, training and development issues.


Why is Executive Coaching booming?

Coaching has shown a strong return on investment.  A recent study conducted by Manchester Inc., includes data on executive behavioral change, organizational improvements achieved, and return of investment (ROI) from customized, comprehensive Executive Coaching Programs.  The Coaching Programs delivered and average return on investment of 5.7 times the initial investment in a typical Executive Coaching Assignment.

In this study involving Human Resources leaders:
  • 99% agreed coaching can deliver tangible benefits to both individuals and organizations.
  • 96% agreed coaching is an effective way to promote learning in organizations
  • 93% agreed coaching and mentoring are key mechanisms for transferring learning from training courses back to the workplace
  • 92% agreed when coaching is managed effectively it can have a positive impact on your bottom line                        (Source:  Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development -CIPD).
           
In another local Action Research study in a Healthcare Organization, a Leadership Coaching program for Ward Managers was associated with:
  • Enhanced self-awareness

  • Utilizing and adopting insights into new situations
  • Providing a structure way of identifying and achieving personal and professional goals

A study by Fast Comnpany which included 48 Organizations found that  43% of CEOs and 71% of Executive Managers in these companies were being coached.The study showed that both the Organization paying for Coaching services and the Leaders receiving coaching strongly endorsed this method of leadership development.  Not only were the Organizations satisfied with the results but it was also found that 63% of these organizations would be increasing their Coaching while 92% of the Leaders being coached stated they intended to use Coaching again .
